Privatisation & Public Private Partnership (PPP) Forum
The Privatization & Public Private Sector Partnership (PPP) Forum, hosted by the Law Firm of Majed M. Gharoub and London Centre of International Law Practice (LCILP), brought together a group of experienced, leading international experts on all aspects of PPP to share their knowledge and experience to manage the challenges and make the most of the opportunities for privatization and PPP coming out of vision 2030.
The first day of the event began by examining the 2020 National Transformation Plans and examined the challenges and drivers that affect the development of a National PPP/PSP plan, as well as legislative and regulatory requirements and Procurement issues. The day ended in four breakout sessions in which the participants examined specific aspects and challenges regarding PPP projects from a Private Sector and Public Sector perspective.
The second day looked at creating opportunities for partnerships within the private sector to enable the realisation of Vision 2030. It looked at sustainable, smart and competitive energy for the future, PPP financing, institutional responsibility and the identification of training requirements, and focused on an in-depth case study exploring the issues that arise. The breakout sessions helped developed successful partnerships, institutional responsibilities and next steps with the aim of initiating a constructive dialogue among the attendees to discuss the future of PPP.
